Refund Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with the SSL/TLS certificates and web-security products you buy from our stores at sslstore.in and buyssl.in, both operated by Foxelpie India Pvt Ltd ("we", "us"). If you are thinking about a refund or cancellation and feel you may need help, please talk to our support team first - we can often resolve the issue, walk you through validation, reissue the certificate, or help you pick the right product. This policy is a draft for review by our legal and tax advisers and may be updated from time to time; refunds are also subject to the Subscriber / End-User Agreement of the Certificate Authority that issues your certificate.

30-day money-back guarantee

Most SSL/TLS certificates carry a money-back guarantee of up to 30 days from the date of purchase, where the issuing Certificate Authority permits it for that product. If you are not satisfied, request a refund within this window, provided the certificate has not been misused and remains eligible for cancellation with the Certificate Authority. A small number of products are excluded by the Certificate Authority from any money-back guarantee; where that applies, it is noted on the product page.

Full or partial refunds

We can issue either a full refund of your order or a partial refund - for example, cancelling one certificate in a multi-certificate order, or adjusting part of an order - depending on eligibility. A partial refund returns only the refunded portion; the rest of the order and its invoice stay in force.

Your GST is refunded too

Where your purchase carried a GST tax invoice, we reverse it with a GST credit note and return the full amount including GST to you - you do not need to claim the tax back separately from the tax department. For a partial refund, the credit note is raised for the amount actually refunded, with the corresponding GST (CGST/SGST or IGST, or the zero-rated treatment for export/SEZ supplies) reversed proportionally. What is refundable

A certificate is generally eligible for a refund when both of the following are true: (a) the request is made within the applicable 30-day money-back window; and (b) the certificate can be revoked or cancelled with the Certificate Authority in line with their policy. Where a certificate has already been issued, refund eligibility follows the Certificate Authority's terms for that specific product.

What is not refundable

Refunds are not available for: requests made after the money-back window has closed; products the Certificate Authority marks as non-refundable; validation work already performed by the Certificate Authority, where a fee applies; and additional items the Certificate Authority does not allow to be cancelled, such as extra Subject Alternative Names (SANs). Domain-validated certificates that have been issued and are in active use may not be refundable.

Fraud and misuse

If a certificate is purchased for fraudulent use or obtained through misrepresentation, the purchaser forfeits any right to a refund or exchange, and the certificate will be cancelled, rejected or revoked immediately. We may withhold or reverse a refund where we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse.

Free reissues are not a refund

Reissuing or replacing a certificate during its validity - for example after a re-key or a change of common name - is free where the Certificate Authority allows it and is separate from cancellation. A reissue does not restart or extend the money-back window.

How to request a refund

Contact our support team with your order reference (for example ORD-XXXXXXXX) and the reason for your request. We review each request against the Certificate Authority's policy for that product and confirm the next steps. We never ask for card details to process a refund - it is returned automatically to the method you originally paid with.

How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through our payment gateway; we do not issue store credit. Payment-gateway charges on the original transaction are borne by us and are not deducted from your refund. Refunds are typically credited within 5–7 business days of approval; the exact time depends on your bank, card issuer or payment provider.
